True Evil, by Greg Iles

Started 4/11, finished 4/13

Sorry, Mr. Iles, this one isn't up to your usual standard. Now if you'd made the snake-wrestler into the good guy, then we might have something...

Book #11 will be Breakfast of Champions, by Kurt Vonnegut.

Hey there, Marcus. This is Dan, Mishay's friend. We met in Austin last week. Please forgive my ignorance in contacting you this way (I'm sure I've broken some sort of blogging code of ethics by doing so), but I couldn't find an email link on your blog and I've forgotten if we infact exchanged emails. I have browsed through Habeas Blogus a bit and have noticed you have a passion and a talent for your craft. You're quite a thoughtful chap. I told Mishay you were a bit intellectually intimidating and a great deal more well-read than I am, so I pray you'll go easy with me! If you think parts of my writing are banal and repetitive, please don't spare me. I know it's hard to critique other writers, but it's a necessity I think. It's how we grow. I've also started a blog on blogspot. It's BullionandBeards.blogspot.com I think. Just for fun. I saw a t-shirt the other day which said, "No one cares about your stupid blog!" And in that spirit, I will confess that no one will probably care a lick about mine, but what's a writer to do? I enjoyed meeting you and look forward to talking further with you. Thanks for taking the time to read my slop!
